- There is 0% tax on profits from equity instruments traded on a stock exchange licensed in a European Union member state and listed as a "regulated market" in [the registry](https://registers.esma.europa.eu/publication/searchRegister?core=esma_registers_bench_entities) of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA).
- Dividends are taxed at 5% in Bulgaria but sometimes 10% or more, depending on whether the dividend source country withholds taxes.
